You would think that saying "Hey guys, I was at the doctor's did really bad with the stress test, so can we cut the family drama crap", that they would. Nope... I'm so damn done with my folks.. My brother has been about four to five months sober and he's not causing me any stress. It's my damn folks.. Three years of family drama and it just one thing after another... Don't wanna go into detail but most of you know what I've been going through, so we'll leave it at that. Mark my words though my family is trying to kill me... Maybe I should send out a memo that they don't get the half a million in life insurance but the nephews do.

That's the thing if I keep plugging away and stressing that I can't be stressed out or else it'll do a number on my ticker... It'll fall on deaf ears. Best to just take care of myself right now, hang out with bro and friends and let my folks kill each other.

Sometimes a little "distance" is a very good thing. Give yourself some space for a while. They'll get along without you being right there, and if they really need you you won't be far away.

As hard as it is sometimes to do, you need to start putting yourself and your health first. Pops is definitely right though: distance isn't always a bad thing, especially when it comes to stressful family members.

YUP....you need to be number 1 for a while...maybe a long while. FAMILY can sure drive you nuts. I have some family drama taking place too and it is Very Stressfull. Hang in there!!

Yeah! There's nothing more profound than "You can choose your friends but you can't choose your relatives" There's nothing written in law that say's you have to put up with their crap either unless of course they are your disobedient juvenile deliquent rock till they drop children. Then you're screwed
