Substance of Science

Post by CatieRose » Sat Oct 13, 2012 2:14 pm

Science, philosophy, theosophy,
I've stuffed then all into my pack,
biology, chemistry, anatomy,
too late to go back.

Yet, the void is empty.
Stellar universes to explore,
and what do I think I'll find
as I stuff these hard, cold facts
into the grind
of God in man, and man in God,
over and over again.

All that is, in every casual nod,
Look! There he is; God!
I, in He, and He, in me.

The Great I Am
and I Am beginning to see.

What shall become of me
when he calls me home,
and all these hard, cold facts?

Not substantial
to be held in the hand;
yet, adding to the stature of all I Am.

If infant possibility be the coin,
the master left with the servant,
I shall say, "Look, Lord, I bring you many
hard, cold, facts."

But if love be the coin,
still as insubstantial as the rest,
I can only offer my tattered heart,
and wonder if I shall ever pass that test.

Hey CatieRose...

Nice to meet you. :)

Thought-provoking and wonderful poem. Love the play on words.

From what I've read of your pennings; I feel sure you'll pass that final test.

:hello: CatieRose, A song comes to mind, "Just as I am, Without one plea. Lord, I come, I come to Thee." Not the right wording, but I'm sure you have heard that song. Just as we are, He accepts us. There is no test that we have to pass. Knowledge and all you have studied will not get you into Heaven. You heart is in the right place, focused on Him. And He sees that. So rest assured, all is well with your soul.

All that is, in every casual nod,
Look! There he is; God!
I, in He, and He, in me.
That just about sums up my view on the subject. Enjoyed Catie.
