With malevolent flows.

and picking at the scabs
Is tiring,
Humiliating...
We've listened to your message
Since our genesis,
Calling from the heavens
For a homecoming.
And now you speak,
Louder and clearer than before.
Unrest throughout the world,
Trumpets sounding a war.

Pacifier,
Stoke the flame
And forge the peace
You've promised all along.

Pour me out the bucket,
Make a puddle
From the slag.
Although my mind is all that matters,
It's been scattered

Author's note: I haven't had a whole lot of time to write poetry these days, as most of my writing has gone into lyrics and whatnot for my band. However, I wanted to stop by and share a lyrical draft that I came up with this evening, which also fits into poetical form of sorts... I feel it's a mite on the cliche side, so I may be updating it periodically, but I wanted to share and see what everyone thought while it was still fresh off my mind. ;)
