With the full moon hounding me
wondering if I will surrender,
will I give up this lost battle.
I hear the heart giggling.
Sleepless eyes demanding to be relieved
as they can not stay open any longer,
I hear the heart giggling once again,
It's beginning to irritate me this heart.
The brain just sent me a message,
"Heavy heart planning it's escape"
Yes it used to be my heart
Yet now it is long lost to me
I can't even believe that it used to be mine.
How could my very heart belong to you?
When did we sign the transfer papers?
The title deed is still mine,
I still own this heart.
You smile innocently,
You act like you don't know
what you took from me,
I demand my heart back.
I prepare for battle,
if it's war you want then so be it.
You look at me with words of encouragement.
This war is confusing
What kind of an enemy encourages,
Is this a trick I wonder.
You took my heart away from me
It does nothing but feels for you
It never tires of you.
You touch my soul and I know
I know that my heart is safe with you.
Please keep it for a while
I like it just there with you.

Re: Heavy Heart
When you lose your heart the signs you track to retrieve it may lead you nowhere, but it is an adventure worth the effort. Your reward might be two hearts.
