What I Wish

Post by C.R. Ebowski » Sun Apr 12, 2009 6:11 pm

I wish you could see
The pain that dwells inside
Crushing what’s left of me
But that’s too much to ask
Cause I know you too well
Wrapped in a whirlwind past
Unforgiving to you
Ignoring what you have
And what you could lose
Unconditional love is not certain
You get what you give
And I’m tired of giving everything
My faith is fading fast
Smothered by your pain
Ignored by your selfishness
I wish for your eyes to open
To see what you truly have
To realize life is a two way street
That I need to be loved
But I am not sure you have that
And I don’t want you to fake it
So this me leaving
Walking away from your pain
And into the blazing fire
Of hurt and loneliness
Maybe this wasn’t meant to be
Another experience in life
Crashed down in flames
But damn this life sucks
Allowing myself to fall
Eternally begging you to
Love me as much as I love you
"Nobody can get the truth out of me because even I don't know what it is. I keep myself in a constant state of utter confusion."
