I Lost My Love In Baghdad by Michael Hastings.

It is about the war in Iraq and has been a good book so far.

Finally got ahold of a copy of "Forever Odd" by Dean Koontz. Putting all other reads on hold whilst I take my time getting through this one.

I just finished reading I lost My Love in Baghdad today. It was a good book but very said. It gives a lot of insight into what is really going on the war but it is also about how this guy lost his girlfriend while they were both working in Iraq.

I am getting ready to start the Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult.

i recently re-read Jane Austen's Mansfield Park because i've always looved Jane Austen novels for years and years now.... but i found that the old charm isn't there anymore. particularly with this one... i still LOVE Pride & Prejudice and Emma,... i think i appreciate their social commentary and satire more.... Mansfield Park really disappointed me this time...

now finishing off another book i started recently then left off: Siddhartha by Herman Hesse.

since you first mentioned it here, i was tempted to get it... but i honestly don't think i can do it. i don't like war movies or war books, and particularly with that kind of storyline,... i'm pretty sure i wouldn't be able to handle it. although i really want to read it to find out what it shows about what's really going on in the war...
