Stardust

Post by Floetry Spades » Sat Dec 15, 2007 8:42 pm

So this ... is to be ...
... my tranquility
like a flock of leaves
carried hand in hand by the wind
like a good friend
and to never let go

I'll let them know
that I am a work in progress
I am the remnants of a long forgotten memory
I am the shell of my former self

And nobody else
not a vessel to be filled
with thoughts and ideals
incongruent to my own
I want to be left alone

On my throne and in my oyster
of tranquility
listening to the rustling of trees
through the vibrations of water
and this world
is just the remnants of stardust
the recycling of carbon
over and over again through the generations
as if nothing was unique or new

I'm just a chemical rearrangement
of you ...

You ... aim to be ...
... my tranquility ...
my reason to breathe
as if I need your breath
to complete me

Because I've walked the long mile
letting many a hand go along the way
feeling the leaves rustle in a handshake
and the waves tumble in a hug
I might feel the sun set
at the loss of a friend
but the Magnolia is at rest
until it rains again
or until the seasons change
for my shades of white to bloom
in a wide spectrum of color
nothing new ...
just the recombination of red
white and blue
like the recycling of carbon
the remnants of stardust
a million years old
we're all made of the same clay

... just a different mold ...

I don't know why anything is "ignored"... there is no rhyme nor reason.

It's usually the really good stuff like this that gets missed.
