Hi Annie..I do believe this is the hymn Richie might be talking about...I hope you see this.....

HYMN

you are the one

Chorus

You are the one, that starts our day
you are the light, that guards our way,
in our darkest night your light shines through
You are our strength guiding us through.

The road we walk is long and wide
the pathway stony, on every side.
As we stumble on unsteady legs and fall
to you we reach father, through it all.

Chorus

You are the one, that starts our day
you are the light that guards our way.
In our darkest night your light shines through
you are our strength, guiding us through.

Though filled with doubts please lead us Lord
by thy gentle countenance again restored.
In times of need, again we pray
your strong arms open, to guide our way.

Chorus

You are the one, that starts our day
you are the light that guards our way.
In our darkest night your light shines through
you are our strength, guiding us through.

Life's daily hazards, along the way
for those who stumble, fall and stray.
In our darkest dreams lost and forlorn,
Heavens pathway clears with thee reborn.

Chorus

You are the one, that starts our day
you are the light that guards our way.
In our darkest night your light shines through
you are our strength, guiding us through.

In my opinion Richard is one of the best creative and technical poets this site has ever had the pleasure of interacting with. His input will be greatly missed.

PLease give Richard my regards. And let him know that if he needs anything at all him or his family to please inform me. HE is a very good man and his departure from the poetry pages was missed and his other journey will be no less than tragic.

This right here is why we are a Poetry Familia.. Losing a familia member seems to always bring us together and make us show our true colors. :hugs:

My thoughts and prayers are with Richard and his family. And I just want to be the first if not the last to let them know that the Poetry Familia is here for them no matter what and that whatever any one of us can do just let us know. :computer: :hugs:

I am saddened by this news. Richard and I disagreed on a lot of points but he always had my respect. My thoughts are with him and his loved ones. If there is anything we can do please let us know.

expelled and onward through desert dust swallowed,
sands he says that gorge on simple sensibilities.
And, now he spits fragments, grit, extended vowels and elongated syllables
over cracked lips. Their sounds fall
piling round his boots…

I am sorry I have not dropped by, but I had internet problems & phone problems ~ the neverending rain took out the old phone lines here for several days. So I am just catching up now. Also, I have not heard anymore about Richard.

:crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: I am so saddened by this news. And yet at the same time I know he's in a better place and no longer suffering. Richard will always be with us here at PP through his works/words and in the minds and hearts of those of us who knew him. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to Richard's family and friends. I know what a hard time this is right now and if there is anything that we can do for them (even if it's only prayers), please don't hesitate to ask.

:crying: You will be missed, Richard. :crying: :hugs:

RICHARD TAYLOR

Post by Debbie » Sat Jul 28, 2007 8:44 am

Well I sensed this had happened and checked last night for any announcement and found none....but here it is today..and I was sensing it right.

I shall miss that gentleman and the poet.....I feel sadness and tears...but a peace knowing he is with Jesus..................To his family I say a little prayer that God will comfort you and bring you peace in this time of sorrow.
Richard has stepped into another room now..and will be waiting for those he loves....
