The Song

Post by Eternum 1 » Thu Feb 02, 2006 2:54 pm

Sometimes an honest poet
must put his pen aside
Take a poet's sabbath
to wash away his pride

The temple flames have darkened
with candles short and old
Yet angels still speak poetry
with harps of liquid gold

Pure worshipful emotion
still abides within
Let words lie unspoken
and feel a song begin

Halaulujah, plays the chorus
of branching violins
Haleluljah, flutes the robin
the sun has come again

The song has never changed
despite your broken heart
Pick up your fallen voice
sing again your part

For the world is beautiful
even when it's veiled in dark
Your codes of what was dutiful
left no lasting mark
