Hi:

Forms in poetry can be lots of fun.
(take about some forced rhyms)

FRIENDS?

To ask a friend of such a favor (A)
The deal you offered was so clever (A)
My logic told me to decline (B)
Somehow knowing you would not deliver (A)

Me ask you? I think not never (A)
To make a request so elephantine (B)
To ask a friend of such a favor (repeat line 1)

You mentionded not possission now, payment later (A)
With reluctance I relinquish something that is mine (B)
Somehow knowing that you would not deliver (repeat line 4)

Agaisnt all judgment we did endeavor
Without writen contracts singed
To ask a friend of such a favor

All but one option gone you became a deciever
then with intent manipulate and so commit the crime
Of knowing in your mind that you could not in time deliver

So what makes you a friened I now consider (line 1)
Knowing that a friend of mine would at no time
Ever ever think to ask a friend of such a favor (line 4)
Somehow know that they would not deliver

Rick

Yes.... good job....like the subject....

jeanne
... and his words purge up and outward,
expelled and onward through desert dust swallowed,
sands he says that gorge on simple sensibilities.
And, now he spits fragments, grit, extended vowels and elongated syllables
over cracked lips. Their sounds fall
piling round his boots…
