Storm

I was lost at a time, in a storm raging far beyond anything I could handle. My heart ached in the frozen air to be warm and my finger shook as the thunder rumbled around my soul. I was lost and for some reason didn’t intend to be found in the storm I was trapped inside. My grief was the subtle rain pattering on the ground with my tears as they fell steadily. The storm raging everywhere was engulfing everything. Slaps of painful thunder and blazes of fiery lightning scorched all thoughts and zapped all feelings right from my bloody fingertips. The rain couldn’t soothe me as the storm ate everything up in one swallow, tearing down anything brave enough to stand its ground and fight for me ‘till the death. It never ceased, only grew more massive and uncontrollable.
