She Writes Poetry

I think it's rude to carry on a conversation with someone in a different language while those around you wonder what you're talking about. Used to happen many times at lunch time work tables.
It's true, always wondered what they were talking about. Ending up, right or wrong, thinking they were talking about you. If they weren't, why would they be speaking ina foreign language?
Never mind, it's really not that important.

I thought I had apologised already but perhaps it wasn't enough. I can't speak for others who communicate in other languages but for me it's just a pleasant exercise in using languages that have gone to rust.Gillian wrote:I think it's rude to carry on a conversation with someone in a different language while those around you wonder what you're talking about. Re: She Writes Poetry
Ceci est un morceau charmant....
(I copied and pasted the French.. )
Lovely indeed, beautiful and mesmerizing.
I especially resonated with these lines: Does this mean she's a better poet in love? Not really, but this aspect of her is the peak we can see her from, most of us being too timid to follow her into dark valleys and barren deserts.
btw: I enjoyed the French back and forth. I couldn't understand it, but still got a tickle and delight from it. Perhaps I enjoyed the connecting bond displayed.
