Sita was lounging in the chair they had gotten from an alley when Connor shimmered in, blood still fresh on his lips.
"Back so soon darling?" she asked, looking up, her blue eyes sparkling.
"Yeah, I almost got caught so I left," Connor answered, wiping his mouth and sitting down opposite of Sita, "What's got you so happy?"
Sita smiled, she could hear a werewolf howling in the distance, "That must be that delightful werewolf Crystal, we met on our way into town. Anyway, love, oh nothing just thinking about all the power we'll have soon, " she said, raking her fingers through her fire red hair.
"What are you talking about Sita?" Connor asked cautiously.
"I am talking about making an alliance with one of the most infamous vampires around these parts. That's what. I hear this person is most notorious here," she answered, the corners of her mouth curling in to form an evil smile.
"You mean Lucius?" Connor asked, "We've already made that deal."
"No," Sita snapped, her eyes flashing, "Not just Lucius, but with Jadyn as well."
"Oh, right! Sorry love," Connor replied as a grin spread across his face, "You mean double deal like we did in Wales? Just try not to get killed this time like you almost did there."
"Didn't I say never to bring that incident up again Connor Michael O'Reilly?" Sita snapped viciously to Connor's surprise.
Seeing the surprise, and hurt in Connor's eyes from her outburst Sita immediately softened and said, "I'm sorry love, I know you're a bit groggy from not having much to eat lately. That blasted sister of mine has given us reason to lie low for a day or so. And I'm just cranky is all. Would you like me to go and find you a nice little looker for you to feed on?"
Connor grinned, "Does Sita wanna play?"
"Oh, Sita wants to play tonight," she replied, her eyes dancing.
"Then play you shall, Darling," he replied.
Sita got up from her chair and kissed him softly, then shimmered out.
Connor soon followed.
They found what they were looking for in an alley not far from the cemetary in a young homeless woman who was sleeping at the end of the alley. She didn't put up much of a fight.
"Are you finished yet?" Sita asked impatiently, as she tapped her heeled boot on the cement.
Connor looked up, "In a minute."
Sita frowned, something wasn't right. She looked around, she could feel someone watching them.
"Connor would you hurry up," Sita said hurriedly, "We must find Lucius to make sure we still have a deal."
"Ok, ok," Connor said as he stood up, still holding the homeless woman.
"Connor, this isn't a carry out," Sita said with a frustrated sigh, "Put the woman down."
"Oh fine," Connor whined as he dropped the corpse and followed Sita out of the alley, "But didn't Lucius want your sister too."
"Yes, but we don't have time to mess with her," Sita trailed off as they got out of ear shot.
The feeling of someone watching Sita and Connor had been correct. Olivia, once again, was standing in the shadows.
"Wants your sister too huh?" Olivia said to herself as she orbed.
"Back so soon darling?" she asked, looking up, her blue eyes sparkling.

Jadyn stood on the roof top above the alleyway listening to Sita and Connor rant back and forth.
For this reason is why she so loved to scale roof tops, she could always watch everyone without being noticed.
She heard the conversation they had and thought that if she followed them they may lead her to Lucius.
Overjoyed and furious all in one she almost forgot the need to calm her hunger.
" They certainly can't be from Paris, that accent is definetly not French" she thought to herself. "But if someway I could befriend this Vampress and her follower, they could lead me to Lucius, and finally I can have my way with him." Just as she walked to the edge, bending over to to listen, she heard someone on the roof top.
" Now that is something I wouldn't mind setting fire to" Toahs said a smirk playing across his face. "You, your the rat bastard that tried to blow me up" as she launched for his throat.
Laughing and stepping out of the way Toahs said " You may want to know what I have to say" " I want to hear nothing from you but your blood draining into my mouth" Jadyn replied.
" Ahhh, but this I think you'll find intesting, you see this cut on my face, a Slayer gave it to me. A Slayer hunting for you. Such a beauty to have chasing after you I must say, How do you do it?"
Jadyn sickend by the humor he found in himself, yet he did have her attention. "What did you tell her?" " Well she told me actually, Jadyn. That is your name right Jadyn, the Vampire who Faith hunts."
Jadyn's eyes filled in anger " Faith huh? So she is finally seeking her death wish, poor girl I knew she would come around sooner or later, I always look for the young girl with the scar on the right side of her lip. Where can I find her? I know she is just dying to see me." Jadyn Laughed.
" I am not sure I understand the humor in this" Toahs said in a curious voice. " I spared her life to show her the true feeling of pain, left her longing for what her fate has always had planned for her, to die in the arms of a Vampire, just so happens that lucky little Vamp is me. We have a lovely past she will never forget." Jadyn said in sarcasm.
" I must say you and her both are quite mystical and yet I would love nothing more than to kill you both, but never could I bring harm to such beauty." Toahs said.
" Well thats good to know, now tell me where can I find Faith so I may bring upon her the wish of death?"
"Well the last time I checked she was shacked up in a barn outside of town storing up energy, and making plans with your lover Lucius to hunt you" With this said rage built in Jadyn " Thank-you Toahs now please leave me before I kill you."
"Never could you kill me Vampress you will burn within inches of me, with just one look." He turned and left.
"Yeah? Thanks now I know just how I'll do it" Jadyn mumbled under her breath. Turning back to look for couple that caught her interest but they were gone.
Jadyn cocked her head to the right and inhailed picking up their scent, and followed...............................................

Lucius stalked the shadows calmly. His plans were unfolding quite nicely. He had a point of influence within the church. Jadyn was blissfully unaware of his whereabouts at the moment. And to top it all off, he was certain of striking a deal that would eliminate both Jadyn and Faith. After that, he was free to do what he liked with the others. He would slaughter the white-lighter outright. He hated them anyway, and besides, she could very well take it upon herself to fight the good fight. As for the other two, he would have to think about that. It would be good to eliminate the half-blood, but her consort could prove an invaluable ally, so he was torn. Of course, if he could convince him that pure bloods must rise up once again, perhaps it wouldn't be a problem. His ears perked up as he heard familiar voices.
"...You mean double deal like we did in Wales..."
His face became flushed. How dare they double-cross him? Now they would both pay in the end. But for now, he stood calmly as they fed on a beggar girl. Lucius licked his lips. He was thirsty as well. As they walked out of the alley, he sensed another presence. Then came a voice out of the shadows.
"Wants your sister too huh?"
There was a flash of light and a white orb appeared before fluttering away.
"Damn, now she knows too. This is getting far too complicated."
A scent caught Lucius's nose, and he peered to the building above him. There stood Jadyn and the fire-starter. They scuffled for a bit, and the fire-starter made a hasty retreat. Lucius entertained the idea of hurling his dagger and Jadyn's chest, but decided against it, fearing that he may lose the precious weapon. Just then, the two lovers dropped their victim, and headed out of the alley. Jadyn followed along the rooftops, and Lucius went around the alley, hoping to cut them off in the street. There he ran into them.
"Oh excuse me. Fancy running into you again."
Sita glanced sideways at Lucius.
"Yes what a coincidence. Well, it's good that we've run into each other. We need to know if we still have a deal."
"Why of course we do. Why would I have changed my mind?"
"Pure bloods can be fickle."
She poked Connor in the ribs.
"Good one."
He cleared his throat.
"Anyway, do we have a deal or not, elder?"
"Yes, I hope that everything shall go according to plan. I will draw Jadyn out into the open tomorrow night, and then you two and the white-lighter shall take down the slayer, who will surely be following her."
Sita stepped close to Lucius, breathing in his face.
"Just where shall this event take place?"
"I shall draw her to the cathedral, tomorrow evening at midnight."
Lucius suddenly sniffed the air. Jadyn was watching them, presumably from the building behind them. He peered deep into Sita's eyes, bending her mind to hear his thoughts.
"We are being watched. Jadyn is on the building behind me. Do not look, or she will notice and flee. Or worse, she will attack. We do not need a fight now. Take your friend's arm and follow me. I will shroud us so we cannot be followed."
With that, Lucius chanted in an ancient tongue, spoken by none accept the elders and their kin. A thick fog filled the street, taking them completely out of view. Lucius lifted up a nearby sewer grating, and they descended below to the catcombs. When they had climbed safely below ground, the fog began to lift. Jadyn stared in disbelief. She sniffed the air for their scent, but the smell was gone.
"Damn. His parlor tricks have saved his hide once again. No matter, now I know his plot. He will not slay me before I have made him pay."
She lept from building to building, disappearing into the darkness.

Sick of and feeling nothing. Sick of people, demons, good and evil, she just wanted to rest. Rest her soul, along with her only family. Kavin had told her about this. Slayer's feeling cut off and numb only cravng that last breathe. It had to happen soon, but she was going out to her liking. When one Slayer snuff's another rises. The light would still have it's vessel. Thinking of these things she set off smelling the faintest trace of Jadyn's perfume. With her sixth sense tingling, she could feel the wind moving along side Jadyn as she scaled building's and stalked through Alleyways. She decided she'd take the sewers for a warm-up rumble. Feeling a strong presence she stopped and looked down the dingy tunnel. She looked to her left and saw two dark figures departing a third. blood suckers. She decided to confront this one as foreplay. Getting closer she relized it would be a little more. This was the pure blood she had spoken with earlier. She had been caught off guard before being taken out of a trance so soon. She was ready now. "Care to add to my collection?" Faith said from behind him as she pulled a necklace out from under her shirt. "One fang from every pure blood i have slain." "Pure bloods huh? Well if you would like you can try to add to your pretty collection, but then your heart will be added to mine." He unveiled his silver rapier and took it out gleaming. At this she only smirked and kicked him in the chest. Sending him flying into the wall. He was back on his feet again and matched her blow with a forcefull backhand. She stumbled but was too fired-up to let it faze her. This time he was caught off guard, she planned to take full advantage of this. She charged at him full force, letting all her frustraion out on him. After dancing for quite some time she whiped out her scythe. Now two ancient weapons. A weapon forged for the downfall of purebloods, and another given only to the vampire elders. Seeing this Lucius' eyes began to fill with rage. It wasn't meant to happen like this. He had to get out so he could use the slayer for his purpose. To kill Jadyn, and then kill her. Making shallow cuts by hitting him with the side of her blade she told him to open wide. "It'll only hurt for a second. But only because you won't be alive long enough to feel it." He backed in to the wall badly injured and responded by hiting her already scarred lip with immense force. She was staring to feel this fight. The very next second he fell into the shadows throwing her off. He took off before she could track him down once again. "I underestimated her." He said to himself limping away at a fast pace. She was ready now. It had been long since she had grinned this wide. "Mmmm pure bloods..always a fun time, but not so good for looks. She said refering to her bruised and blood stained face. "Now for the easy part." She said this as she made her way towards Jadyn. It was no longer just her scent but she felt her eyes. Her eyes scanning Paris for her. It had been so long since she felt the dirt covered stare. Now it was only a matter of time until she could rest....

Sita hit the sewer floor, face first, with an umph as Olivia orbed in and knocked her down.
"What are you?" Olivia said angrily, "Selling me out to other vampires now?"
Lucius, realizing Olivia hadn't noticed him took a step back to the darkest of the shadows so to remain a spectator. He wanted to see what this whitelighter was made of.
Connor knocked Olivia off of Sita, sending her to the ground. "Watch yourself whitelighter!" he ordered as he stood in a defensive pose before Sita.
"Connor!" Sita snapped, "No one touches my sister but me!"
Sita walked around Connor to help her sister up as Lucius reached out of the shadows and pulled Connor in with him.
"Let them fight," Lucius whispered into Connor's ear, "I want to see what they're made of."
"For your information sister," Sita said, throwing a punch, "I have not sold you out. I only wish to help you take out your competition with another slayer."
"Competition?" Olivia asked blocking Sita's punch by grabbing her wrist, twisting it, then twirling around to kick Sita in the back, "I have no competition with any human. You know I'm not about fighting other slayers. Especially living ones. I only fight evil." Olivia flipped backward when Sita tried to kick her, then rebounding with a powerful blow to Sita's stomach added, "Like you!"
"Oh but this slayer is evil dear sister," Sita hissed as she shimmered from in from of Olivia to behind her, when Olivia turned to face her she kicked her in the face, knocking Olivia to the ground, "That vampire you watched leave the church the other night, by the name of Lucius, he says she is evil. And dare I say, more beautiful than we."
"If she is so evil than why would she continue to slay the evil?" Olivia asked jumping to her feet.
"To keep up her good status a slayer I presume," Sita said dodging a punch, "And some tish tosh about her watcher."
"I'm through fighting with you sister," Olivia said turning away from Sita starting to pace, "So who is this Lucius character? I mean, what does he want with you?"
"What? He can't want me for my body?" Sita said in a conceited tone, "I am a very good looking vampire you know."
Connor began to storm out of the shadows by that but Lucius grabbed him and pulled him back, "Let them go. No reason for jealousy you fool."
"Of course he wouldn't want you for your body," Olivia scoffed, "What does he really want with you?"
Sita took great offense to her sisters words, but over looked it and said, "to help him take out a few problems I suppose. But he has asked for your help as well. And if you really believe in fighting evil the way you say you do, then you will help us sister dear."
With that Sita crossed her arms over her chest and shimmered out. Connor stepped out of the shadows when Sita was gone, this time Lucius allowed him, "So Livi, still hate me?"
"Not hate my dear Connor, I'm just disgusted by you," Olivia said turning her nose up, "You're a fool to think I would forgive you for stealing my sister, making her a half blood, then killing me completely."
"Oh stop whining! It's been centuries for God's sake!" Connor said, annoyance apparent in his voice, "And you came back didn't you? I mean lookey, lookey, you're an angel now. Get over it!"
With that Connor shimmered out as well.
Within seconds Olivia had orbed out as well leaving Lucius to his thoughts alone in the sewer.

Fayd spent the day in the inn contemplating his options now that his quest had been so severely compromised by the appearance and interference of Talos. No Ashikari had ever successfully defeated another alone, though they could definitely get in each others' way. Without help he knew he had no hope of retrieving the talisman, yet who would or could help him?
Fayd pondered over the last few days' encounters. Paris seemed to be the meeting place of a multitude of odd semi-human and super-human creatures, aside from himself and Talos! He knew that the millennium had created the paraphysical phenomena making this possible at this time, but that did nothing to allay his annoyance at the setback in his plans.
In the end, between the choice of various vampires, white-lighter and slayer to recruit in his quest, the presence of Lucius, the vampire lord, narrowed these options to the obvious. In order to bring down an Ashikari as powerful as Talos he would need the assistance of a creature as powerful as Lucius.
"I hope I haven't soured my possibilities with our chance meeting in the alleyway" he thought to himself, and grinned. "No matter, I will have to track him down and pose the question in either case."
With that in mind, Fayd dropped off into the deep meditative sleep of the Ashikari, setting a mental wake-up call for sundown.

Lucius stalked slowly towards his lair deep within the Parisian catacombs. There, when he knew that he was finally alone, he sat down to rest. The wounds inflicted by the slayer's scythe were deep, but they would heal quickly. He had underestimated her strength, but that was no matter. When he encountered her next, she would have the white-lighter and Jadyn to deal with as well. Of course, Jadyn may choose to focus her rage on him, but the slayer would be more drawn to her. And now conflict had broken out between the white-lighter and her sister. Perhaps they would all kill each other and Lucius would walk away without a speck of blood on his rapier. Of course, he hoped to be the one to strike the death blow to both the slayer and the white-lighter. The others he would leave be, except for Jadyn, if the slayer didn't kill her first. In any case, he knew that he needed the increase his power. That would take a blood ritual. He inhaled the scents from the streets above. He quickly sensed a young human directly above him. Stepping into the shadows, he lifted the manhole cover and peered out. There stood a young boy of no older than 13. Lucius grabbed him by the ankle, wrenching him beneath ground before he could scream for help. He quickly hit the boy in the solar plexis, rendering him unconscious.
"Sleep dear boy. It will be your last."
Lucius quickly layed the boy down on the stone altar in the middle of his lair. He lit two black candles that stood on opposite ends, and began to chant in elder vampire.
"Ifbs nz dbmm efsl hpet
Hjwf nf sijt pof't tpvm
Hjwf nf ijt tusfohui
Ijt mjef
Ijt cmppe
Hjwf nf qpyfs
Hjwf nf njhiu
Hjwf nf ebsloftt."
The boy's body began to glow a bright red. The light rose from his body, and flowed in a stream into Lucius. His eyes turned from emerald green to blood red, and he seemed to grow taller. As the light flowed into him, the boy's body seemed to fade out. And as the light slowed its flow, the boy's body slowly faded away completely. Lucius laughed out loud, falling to the ground. As he regained his poise, he brushed the hair from his eyes. Now the thirst would be satisfied for days, and his powers were increased ten-fold. No one would pose him a threat now. He reached onto the hook behind him, pulling down a chain-mail shirt, which he put on under his silk shirt. He then put on his heavy overcoat, which was lined in steel. Even the slayer would have a time with piercing this armor. He then pulled on a pair of gloves which had tiny, razor-sharp claws jutting out from the knuckles. This was going to be quite fun. He blended into the shadows, and headed off down the sewers.

Sita sat in the corner of the muasolum pondering over what had happened in the sewer. Connor meanwhile was pacing around the cement tomb.
"What do you mean he only wanted your body?" Connor asked suddenly.
"What?" Sita snapped then giggled, "Connor, sweetie, I was only joking."
Connor grunted and continued pacing. But, after a few minutes spoke.
"That sister of yours has to go," he said perching himself on the tomb and looking at Sita.
"What do you mean?" Sita asked reaching around and rubbing her back.
"I mean, no matter where we go she always follows us and complicates things not to mention foiling our every plan for glory and power." Connor replied, "She's been like that ever since I killed her. And she always wants to kill me."
"Well, I mean if you killed me I'd be mad too," Sita said.
"But I did kill you," Connor replied then added with a grin, "I just brought you back."
"Why did you bring me back Connor?" Sita asked suddenly, "I mean you were always obsessed with Olivia."
Connor stood up and walked over to Sita and knelt in front her.
"Honey, you know why I wanted you," Connor said then smiled, "I may have wanted Olivia, but you, you my dear Sita, you were and are the one I love."
"Yeah, but..." Sita started but was cut off by Connor kissing her. He knew that was the only way to get her to hush up about the past. He was obsessed over Olivia, but when he turned Sita to spite Olivia when she rejected him, he hadn't counted on falling for Sita. So he wasn't lying to her, he really did love her, from the bottom of his black heart.
Conner wanted to go further than just kissing and was about to, but someone bursting through the mausolum door interrupted them.

It was Olivia who had burst through the door of the mausoleum.
"You know Livi, you always did bust up every good thing I tried to do," Sita said from the couch she was sitting on, Connor still in front of her, "What do you want?"
"I've thought about what we were talking about in the sewer Sita..." Olivia said as she bounded into the room and leaped up on top of the tomb, "And I've decided..." Olivia trailed off as she squatted on top of the tomb.
Sita sighed, frustrated, and said "Decided what you fool? I'm busy!"
"Where can we find Lucius?" Olivia asked.
"We don't find Lucius, he finds us you idiot," Connor said bitterly as he stood up and turned to face her.
"Shut your face knave!" Olivia barked, "I do not wish to hear anything you have to say!"
"Alright children!" Sita snapped, "Olivia, if you insist upon harassing Connor everytime we see each other then leave me now and don't return, but if you want help then stop behaving in such a way."
"Fine!" Olivia said as she stood up quickly, took a step forward and dropped from the tomb, she floated to the floor, looked Connor in the eye, then spoke to Sita, "I'll shut my mouth, but if he persists to get cocky I will not hesitate to..."
Before Olivia could finish her sentence Sita was in her face, "Won't hesitate to what Olivia Michelle? Because God knows you won't do anything to me, and doing something to Connor means doing something to me." Sita then grabbed her sister by the throat and shoved her against the tomb, "You wouldn't want to hurt your dear sister would you?"
"Do vampires PMS or have you always been this way?" Olivia said in a cocky tone, not phased at all by what her sister had said or done.
"Go on little one, mock me, but we will see what happens," Sita said, releasing Olivia, "If you want Lucius I suggest you persue him on your own right now because you are not on my good side."
"Ok Sita, have it how you wish," Olivia seethed, "I didn't come to fight. I only wanted to help you and you help me."
Sita stood with her back to Olivia as she thought, then turned quickly and looked her sister in the eye, "You want Lucius, you can have Lucius. Meet us in front of the church at midnight. You'll get your Lucius."
"Thank you," Olivia said bitterly as she turned and exited the mausoleum.
"We can't promise her Lucius Sita. What are you thinking?" Connor said when Olivia was gone.
"I know, but it will make her mad to show up for no reason," Sita laughed to herself, "Plus, Lucius wants her help, so he might show. He always seems to find us doesn't he? And besides we have another issue at hand now."
"What's that?" Connor asked.
"Finding another mausoleum, since that brute of sister I've got insists upon ruining every home I get," Sita said as she shimmered out, and Connor followed.

"Oh, you can stay if me if you need a bed."
Lucius stepped forward from the shadowy corner. Sita jumped back into Connor's arms, startled by his sudden interest.
"Would you please stop sneaking up on us like that?"
"Would you rather I had walked in and interrupted the conversation with your sister? It would have been quite messy."
"Okay, you have a point there."
Lucius sat down on a coffin, relaxing for a moment.
"So, it appears that my plans are unfolding nicely."
Connor smirked.
"Oh, is there something funny?"
"No, not at all. Olivia will be there tonight."
"That is good. So I may assume that we all are certain of the plans?"
Sita nodded.
"Yes, we will eliminate the fire-starter, while you finish off the slayer. But what do you propose to do about Jadyn?"
"Oh, don't worry about her. I will not show myself until the slayer has finished her off. Don't worry about your sister, either. I will not allow the slayer to harm her until she has finished off Jadyn."
"And what if the slayer chooses to go after Olivia first? Then how do you plan to deal with her?"
"You just mind the fire-starter. I will take care of the slayer and Jadyn if need be. They cannot challenge me now."
He stepped back, and opened his coat. His chain-mail shirt gleamed and a light shimmer moved across the steel lining of his coat. He closed the coat again, and raised both fists, clicking the claws together. Connor grinned widely.
"Impressive weaponry."
"Thank you, brother. I must not prepare for this evening. Good day to you."
He faded into the shadows, and strode down the sewers toward his lair. At the entrance, he felt eyes upon him. He froze, sniffing the air. He smelled someone, though not human or vampire. Suddenly, a voice called to him.
"Pardon me, lord vampire. I am in need of your assistance."

Sita and Connor shimmered into the sewer and looked around.
"I can't believe my sister did that to us!" Sita seethed balling her fists until her nails dug into her skin.
"It's going to be ok love," Connor replied rubbing the back of her neck, he knew it would calm her down, "Besides, Lucius said we could stay with him. The catch is we have to find his place first."
"Can Lucius be trusted?" Sita asked suddenly as they began to walk down the corridor, "I mean, depending, we might as well stay with Olivia."
"Well what makes you think Olivia can be trusted?" Connor asked trying not to get angry, "I mean she just tried to kill us back there!"
Sita took offense, "I, well, I think she was so rash about telling us her decsion that she became alittle absent-minded."
Connor sighed, he knew Sita he wasn't going to get anywhere arguing with her so he did the opposite.
"Ok Sita, you may be right." he said then noticing her expression, "Do you smell something?"
"Yeah, and I hear voices," Sita replied, "Don't you?"
Connor had stopped to listen and didn't answer. He didn't have a chance to. As they rounded the corner they literly bumped into Lucius and someone Sita didn't know.
"Oh good evening Sita, good evening Connor," Lucius said, "How are you?"
"Fine," Sita answered eyeing the person beside Lucius.
"Have you met Fayd?" Lucius asked catching onto Sita's cautiousness.
"No," Connor answered, "We haven't."
"Well now you have," Lucius said then turning to Fayd, "Meet my new acquaintances Sita and Connor."
"Hello," Fayd said giving them a nod.
They all stood there in an awkward silence before Lucius finally spoke.
"Sita, Connor, why don't you wait on me at my lair." he suggested, "Go straight back that way and go through the door."
Sita nodded and grabbed Connor's arm, "Let's go."
As she passed she sent a mental message to Lucius, "We need to talk."
He nodded as they passed.
Connor followed Sita silently; leaving Lucius and Fayd alone.

Fayd awoke at the appointed hour just as he had planned. He would seek the vampire in or near the catacombs and sewers beneath the city streets. He had been to worse places in his long lifespan.
It did not take long before Lucius came striding down the sewer towards his lair. Seconds after Fayd saw him Lucius stopped in mid-stride and sniffed the air.
"That's one trait that will come in quite useful on this mission" Fayd thought to himself. He stepped forward and spoke.
"Pardon me, lord vampire. I am in need of your assistance."
Lucius instinctively reached for the hilt of his rapier, but Fayd held both hands out towards him to show the absence of a weapon of any kind.
"I will listen to what you have to say, stranger, but only because I am intrigued by your kind"
"I will try to make my tale brief" said Fayd. "I am of the ancient race of Ashikari, decended from the same elder stock as you yourself, though I am nowhere near as old as you. Where your ancestors took the path of darkness and undeath, mine followed a more subtle one steeped in the lore of nature. We have been known as druids, warlocks, sorcerers and satanic wizards, even werewolves, though none of those appelations are totally correct. I am Fayd al Hassan of the dark reaches of upper Egypt and Nubia. I am here in quest of an artifact stolen from the Ottoman Kingdom by the meddling Christians of this state, and would have it in my possession now if not for the meddling of a rival Ashikari, my nemesis Tylos. I cannot defeat him alone... no single Ashikari can. That is what I need your help to do."
Lucius seemed to chew his thoughts for a moment. He did not relax his ready stance, for at any moment Fayd might make a move against him, and Lucius knew better than to trust ANYONE.
"I am intrested. Tell me more of this "artifact", and what, to be blunt, is in this for me?"

Taohs dropped off the rooftop to leave Jadyn and all the excitement of vampires. He hit the ground and walked off into town, looking at the idiots who so absently fumbled their ways through life.
In a dark little hole of a place Taohs met an old oriental man who was playing with dirt in little bamboo vials.
“You always carry ashes around with you old man?”
The blank look, and slight smile told Taohs that this stranger did not speak English, or maybe he just didn’t want to.
Taohs pointed at the dirt, “That is a child’s toy, why don’t you find something useful to do?”
At this the old man stood and cast a handful of the dirt on the floor. A groan from his knees as he bent down and then when the man struck the flint next to the pile of dirt it burned, hot and fast. ~Swoosh~.
Taohs raised an eyebrow and leaned against the wall, “I think I’m going to like you old man. What other tricks do you have hidden away in that old brain of yours?”
The older gentleman looked long at Taohs, “I think you would have no need for such substances, yes?”
“Oh he talks, how absolutely adorable.” Taohs smirked.
The man rose to his feet and awaited an answer. The answer he got was not one he expected. Taohs sent his fire to one of the capped vials on the tabletop. The explosion rocked both men back on their heels and sent hair and clothing rippling, the table, what was left of it, scattered around the room.
The old mans eyes widened as he reached a hand to his chest, “You do that without fire?”
“Not exactly old man, how much for some of that?”
“It is Chinese secret I can not sale to you.”
Taohs smiled, “Then I shall take it from you old man.”
“You would have to kill me, yes?”
“No, but I want to kill you” Taohs licked his lips as his eyes swirled from green to red and the Chinese man erupted in flames. Surprised at not hearing any scream come from him, Taohs searched and found four vials of the dirt and tucked them away in his pack to study later.
The fire caught a hold of the walls and rugs and as Taohs left through the front door the flames were already eating away at the building…
A fledgling vampire, too courageous for his own good, met Taohs outside.
“Mortal, shall you bleed for me by choice?”
“What is it with you vampires? The clichés grow old and the speech patterns pull at my mind like insane rats pulling at rotten intestines.”
The vampire snarled and reached for Taohs, taking a handful of coat he pulled Taohs close, his breath spilling over Taohs’ face. “Do not ever insult me.”
Eyes burned red and had not had time to change back to green as flames licked up the backside of the vampire. The fledgling screamed and pulled away but kept his grip on Taohs’ clothing. Laughter came from Taohs as the fire ripped across the vampires face and held on to him, devouring everything of the vampire, save for the fist that was still holding him.
When the bones burned through and the flames fell to the ground with the withering vampire, Taohs reached up and pulled the hand from his clothing, letting it fall to the ground were it burst into flames, leaving not one ash left of the vampire when the fires finally died out three hours later…

At that very moment Connor and Sita stepped into the sewer just behind Lucius. Instinctively Fayd began to phase out of sight, but he had already been detected. Ready to react at any aggressive move, Fayd allowed Lucius to introduce him, then stepped aside to let the two pass on toward Lucius's lair.
"Sorry about that," said Lucius, "but it seems the party may be growing in size. Please continue."
"We may find a use for your companions... Talos is not a foe to trifle with, and he has resources of his own to draw upon the likes of which you have not yet imagined. Anyway, the artifact I seek is the last remaining piece of the Ankh of Chaos, lost in the battle between Chronos and Chaos millenia before your birth. It is a talisman of great power, and now, at the millenium itself, its strength has been increased ten-fold by the same celestial conjunction that has brought so many of your kind to Paris."
"Power is always an attractive possession," said Lucius. "I shall speak to Sita and Connor. Where shall I find you again?"
"I am well aware that you can detect my scent for miles. I shall not be far." And so saying, Fayd phased out and returned to the inn to prepare for the meeting with Talos.

"What is taking that old fool so long?" Sita asked impaitently as she stood beside Connor in the middle of Lucius's lair.
"I'm sure he wont be much longer love," Connor replied as he looked at his watch, it has already been an hour.
"You know something Con, I'm tired of waiting, I know where he lives so I am going to go find something to eat, let off some steam, I'll be back,"
Sita said then not giving Connor a chance to answer, she shimmered out.
"That woman!" Connor thought as he went over to lean against the wall.
Sita shimmered onto the street and began to walk, trying to locate a good meal. There was a young girl sitting on a bench, but she already looked dead so Sita moved on, she was humming something to herself as she passed an alley, but stopped dead in her tracks as she seen a flash of bright light come from the alley. Stepping back so as not to be seen she began to watch. A few minutes later a dark figure walked out from the smoking building and confronted a vampire. Again another flash of light occured, only this time she saw fire.
"Hm." she thought, "You must be the fire starter I've been asked to hunt."
She stood and watched the fire starter until he move on.
"Have your fun now oh firey one, for we shall meet face to face next time," Sita said with a smile before shimmering out.
