The Story You Deserve

Talk to me! Do you trust me?
I will explain do you know me?
I have been searching for the answers … trying to find my way
Unsure the answers lie … in the state of mind I’m in today
What should I do to change this…. why has it been so long
Since I could stand here firmly … and remember I am strong
I see you standing here … asking me to trust you
But to tell you all I’ve been through … and finally come to my debut!
Will you understand my anguish? Can you see it’s been awhile?
Since I looked into the mirror … and honestly could smile
I have been living with something’s … that have made it hard to breathe
If you try to say I’m better now …. I still do not believe!
Come lie down and hold me, my nights seem not to end
Maybe I could endure them If I laid here with a friend
My dragging thoughts hold me, the pain they soon create
I think it started so far back …it could have been when I was eight
I’m not sure can describe … all these feelings that I hide
I do not know what I tell you … will prove that I have tried!
Can I be who think of … when you think of life in peace?
I don’t think that can get you there …. and help with your release;
So are you sure of what you’re asking? Do you want to hear it all?
How I had the most in life and how quickly I did fall;
How I lived with so much anger … from the things that I have done,
And when things got hard to handle … how I would always run
I think I will confess to you … the greatest pain I learned,
And how more times than not … I remembered it returned
But if you have the time, maybe I will have the nerve;
To give you all the answers … the story you deserve!​
