The Moment I'd Give

What can it be that has brightened my day
Giving me hope .. in a whole other way
I have felt something here ... that I've not felt in so long
To hold onto this emotion .. I feel I must be strong
The laughter, the love, the caressing of hand
The slightest of joke, the sarcastic reprimand
The uniting of bodies, the sheets pushed down low
The evening of silence, your eyes carried this glow
From the moment I saw you ... till the moment you left
What you have done with my soul .. you should be charged with theft
I've not taken the time to see who I am
Honestly I'll say ... I did not give a dam
But something had changed for me ... in such a short time
I believe I have paid ... for all my past crime
Perhaps I have been released and allowed to be free
To finally feel ... what its like to be me
If this is the case and you helped me achieve
Then I want to say something ... I need you to believe
Of all the things and the moments I would give
To help me to move on and to help myself live
Those moments I saw you and stared into your heart
If I lost one of those moments ... it would tear me apart!
