DOUBLE ENGLISH

Post by Charles Revitt » Sun Sep 04, 2011 6:05 am

I couldn't if I tried, release you from what you can't quite see.

When the rain starts with it's thick warm feeling that you won't be able to taste for yourself.
And you haven't a clue from where it's coming, which is what it appears right here
To the point of knowing that it makes no difference, either way of looking at it

Open eyes
Closed eyes
These eyes

Then all the pretending ought to stop right here really, because everything's run out with everybody.
And it all seems so normal to you
Yet it never did appear to be quite so strange from the corner of your very own eye.

And I could write it in English if it wasn't already.
But even if it were in Double English with pink spots on, it would mean even less.

When I said I knew you were coming
I really did.
I really do.

It's only at a moments notice, at the closest edge
When it's all brought back by the rain.

Some will die in hot pursuit while sifting through my ashes.
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain."
