Wouldn't be the first time somebody eft an l out unintentionally. Although this poem's passion was felt by me, I would suggest that Hope research wildlife a bit more before writing of an animal's call or caw. I'm not all that familiar with old world species of Vultures,(Buzzards as we call them) but of the species known by me hiss sometimes but never do they caw.


They will however scent the dying, wait, perched on a limb or hovering above upon a thermal with the patience their kind have applied for millions of years, before setting about picking one's bones clean at one's last few breaths.

The documentaries from the Serengheti plains in Africa often show the vultures, but I don't remember now what kind of sound they made. I do know that they often do not wait for their intended prey to die before beginning to feast upon the eyeballs and flesh...
