Awakening

Awakening

At last winter is past.
Today flowering trees
Colour an awakening land,
And choral birds
Sing symphonies to please.

Sere and sickly yellows
Have yielded to new green;
Promising summer’s bounty –
Life restored in full;
Autumn’s wealth to come.

O winter-weary
Soul of mine, attend!
The seasons’ ever-turning wheel
Sings the eternal song
Of death and life without end.

Great metaphoric poem here and very profound expression of the essence of seasons.
Thank you for sharing. *angel
