My memories I cherish
Great times from the past.
Had absolutely no idea
It wouldn't last.
Can you remember the songs
When we were young.
Such fabulous music
and love songs were sung.
Rock'n roll dances
With coke the only drink.
Whats happened to that
Really makes one think.
The young ones don't want to know
The times we had.
Now street kids and drugs
and I find that sad.
Maybe one day
It will turn around.
and a happier life
May be found.
Memories.

Re: Memories.
Our memories always portray times as "those good old days", while we were actually living through "these trying times". But that's a good thing, as long as there is enough of an anchor so we can avoid repeating our past foibles.
An' it harm none, do what ye will. Blessed Be.

Re: Memories.
This poem is strongly talking to me and I can relate to your thoughts about memories. Lets hope and act the way that at the final stage of our life, the main memories are happy ones. Thank you. *angel
