Life Is ...

Post by The Ravyn » Sat Apr 10, 2004 2:22 am

on the threshold we gaze
at that which must be
and we call it good
taking the steps
of a child we learn
that which is
in inevitablilty
life
and on the threshold
of another world
we once again grasp
the simplicity of the universe
in all it's complexity
so simple
and yet so evading
love is the key
allow it to unlock
all of the doors
for that is all
that life is
take my hand if you don't know where you're goin' ... i'll understand .... i've lost the way myself ...

 Ravyn....Absolutely wonderful...

jeanne
... and his words purge up and outward,
expelled and onward through desert dust swallowed,
sands he says that gorge on simple sensibilities.
And, now he spits fragments, grit, extended vowels and elongated syllables
over cracked lips. Their sounds fall
piling round his boots…

...Yet the stones remain less real to those who cannot
name them, or read the mute syllables graven in silica.
To see a red stone is less than seeing it as jasper—
metamorphic quartz, cousin to the flint the Kiowa
carved as arrowheads.
To name is to know and remember

 Cool peice, and most likely true. Have to find out for myself sometime.

Anyway, I like the semi-reference(at least in my own head) to 'standing on the brink of oblivion'.

This poem is so true. Jenn was such a wise woman, wasn't she?
If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you. ~ A. A. Milne

:crying:
How sad, remembering the loss suffered when "The Ravyn" had to fly away...seeing an example of the power of the spirit within her that had undergone such a beating down in the brief life of the wonderful person such as her, is a refreshing reminder of the power and strength within us all and that...
love is the key
allow it to unlock
all of the doors
for that is all
that life is
Thank you Jenn, for leaving a bit of your spirit in your words for us to learn from...
