Keep on keeping on

Trente sei

Rise with the sun and break your fast.
Eat with a hearty appetite.
The time for dreaming has flown past.
Gone with the shadows of the night.
New day, new opportunity
To forge ahead successfully.

Eat with a hearty appetite
and thank the Lord that we have food
To be well fed is our birthright.
Deserving of our gratitude.
Good food provides the energy.
To face the day confidently.

The time for dreaming has flown past.
It’s time to face reality.
Your pleasant dreams aren’t meant to last.
Just temporary fantasies.
Your brain creates subconsciously
While you are sleeping peacefully.

Gone with the shadows of the night.
Which very quickly disappear.
Confronted by the morning light.
Which leaves no trace of shadows here.
It seems daylight apparently
Erases shadows instantly.

New day, new opportunity.
A chance to make your dreams come true.
Although there is no guarantee.
The final choice is up to you.
It’s your responsibility
To show your capability.

To forge ahead successfully
And demonstrate what you can do.
You can be what you want to be.
If you believe dreams can come true.
Though other people disagree.
You must press on regardlessly.
