pantoum (silent, quiet, still)

i sit here silent, quiet, still
thoughts wander and drift away
my heart aches with loneliness that kills
i close my eyes to dull the pain

thoughts wander and drift away
love is sought in dreams that die
i close my eyes to dull the pain
from this room my heart will fly

love is sought in dreams that die
may i die within my dreams
from this room my heart will fly
love wasn't what it seemed

may i die within my dreams
i sit here silent, quiet, still
love wasn't what it seemed
my heart aches with loneliness that kills
