ABCderian Poem

Post by ttanna » Sun Aug 29, 2004 5:12 pm

I believe that this is called a ABCderian.

Alarm goes off
Bath is started
Cats are fed
Dress for success
Everyone who is anyone will be there
Finding my shoes, under the bed!
Go get gas
Highway is a bumper to bumper party
Is there any other way there?
Just glancing at my watch,
Keeping time with the music, as a
Lexus cuts me off!
M*&^&%$^&%$#!
Now I am back on track, I can see my exit
Oh boy I hope there is coffee made
Parking attendant waves me through
Quickly pulling into a space
Reversing gears to get in good
Shuffling through the lobby doors
Time stamp my attendance card
Up the elevator
Very nearly ready to go back home
Weave in and out to get to my desk
Xanex to calm my nerves for the
Yoyo of a day to come!
Zing! “Good Morning, This is Sally. Can I help you?”

That's one name for it.

Here's one of mine from long ago:

Crab Feed

As I walk
By the sea,
Crabs come up,
Dancing for me.

Each one leaps
From rocks exposed,
Glistening like dew...
Heaven's tears deposed.

In my heart
Joy wells up...
Ketchup and mustard...
Let's now sup!

Meaty and juicy,
Never too tough,
Only few know
Pleasure this rough!

Quietly I rest,
Relaxing a while,
Safe at last...
Then I smile.

Upon the dunes,
Violet in hue,
Waiting for me...
Xenophobe's past due.

You, my dove,
Zealous for love!
