Poem of the Week: February 18, 2007
Until Death do We Join
by Tom Watson
When the shadows arrive from down the road
And my filtered sun turns blood red color
I try all efforts to release your load;
Then you approach from behind my heart’s door.
For too long have your ashes filled the jar;
For too long was your soul imprisoned there,
Entombed, rejected, while I kept afar
Desperate loneliness left your crypt bare…
Now you do, what I failed to do for you;
You ride the shadows falling from death’s womb,
Seeking to bring me a new deadly view;
To instill my heart with joys of your tomb.
Now forever in your grip my heart cries
Forever within your death, my tears dry.
Tom

"I guess we can all vote...
I second your choice."
