Ghosts of Love

I sit next to you
you don't see,
I am the ghost of love
trapped
You hold the key.
I say I love you
I know you did not hear,
I am the ghost of love
waiting
you not loving me is what I fear.
I stand in your way
you walk through me
as though I am not there,
I am the ghost of love
crying
standing here.
I write you
these poems you do not read,
I am the ghost of love
writing
from my heart these words bleed.
I pray at night
that one day I will
feel loved,
I am the ghost of love
turning to the ghost of sadness
will I ever feel loved?
will I ever live as I did before
will I ever be a ghost no more?
