what could drive a man,
to end his life,
a spirit so crushed,so dead,
defies the meaning of soul.
the once pure light,
that bore us all from heaven,
so selflessly taken away,
for the simple relief of such pain,
is but a sin in itself,
for many the pain is bare able,
merely corrupting the white to black,
from life to death, from love to hate.
the shadow is coming,
engulfing souls, spirits, celestials,
the darkness is chasing,
fear, anger, resentment its source,
all hope is lost,
for human kind is but a weak excuse,
for "rulers" or "lords"
...we rule nothing.
we cower and quiver at the unseen,
the monsters in the closet,
the beast beneath the bed,
we still believe,
for all our lives we still believe,
the fear in or head many
will not overcome,
nor forget,
those silly childish attributes,
that define us, name us, claim us,
man. woman. child.
this one is strange because it was inspired through a scene in the movie "Fame" when a dancer that has worked all his life, has been told he cannot do something and try's to commit suicide but is saved by his friends. it just reminded me of how easy hope, joy, your entire life can be taken away. so i just picked up my laptop and let my fingers loose. ooo that's good i might use that. ha copyrighted. its so easy to get discouraged these days..so much in life to drag us down..but, the sun always rises, bringing us a brand new day in which to begin again, if we just hang in there!..( a cliche', but true) your words are well expressed..enjoyed!
