Drunken wildness,
Ebbed out in your voice,
Quietly tender,
Soft to the touch,
The usual fog horn,
Screeching at my door,
Muffled with Russian liquid,
Drowned in your woes,
The stench of nights,
Spent out in the rain,
Merged with heady scents,
Of bottled perfume,
Cascades of nylon,
Platinum blond,
Fell down you back,
It looked so smooth,
But felt so rough,
At least I felt it,
At least you let me,
Across my ebony table,
You smiled at me,
And sitting there,
You told me,
It wasn’t made for us,
Comfortably,
You take my hand,
Raise it to worn out lips,
You never looked so good,
With the click of the handle,
You leave my life,
Forever I wonder,
Or just this night.

Re: Drunk love
i really liked the first half of this piece, then it seems like you sort of lost your focus...but like i said the first half is great, your word choice is beautiful...thanks for sharing...

Mortal lovers must not try to remain at the first step; for lasting passion is the dream of a harlot and from it we wake in despair.-C. S. Lewis

good write, good read
/My first thought was, he lied in every word,
That hoary cripple, with malicious eye

...... And yet
Dauntless the slug-horn to my lips I set,
And blew. ``Childe Roland to the Dark Tower came.''
