As time goes by,
You catch my eye
and I feel I notice you more.
From the moment
you enter the room
till the time you step out the door.

My feelings I know
must be kept secret
else trouble will brew for sure
but as I hide away
my truest thoughts
I find for a striving heart no cure.

Forbidden love, yeah,
that's what we have
and although it all seems unfair
to do nothing at all
is the best thing to do
so our love we must never declare.
