Patience, barren field,
That helpless lies with longing
Near flowing river.
Close but still so far removed,
Wishing wet would flood his banks
To quench aching thirst.
Giving self to pure release,
An almost knowing.
Rivulets of rain return,
Nourishing again sweet earth.
Each a part of each
In cycles life holds sacred.
Running to some end,
Wonder given and received.
Together yet still parted.
River, Earth and Rain

I don't know much about poetry but I think that from what I have red of you, you are a true poet. I have trouble understanding but I think that I have so much respect for a poet that doesn't rhyme. Oh don't get me wrong I also have deep respect for a poet that does rhyme but I am in awe of those who can write their verses as you do. Can someone please tell me how to spell red as in the past tense of read.
