The Return (Part 4)

The Return (Part 4)

Each day the nearer that he drew
the less enthused he grew, and grew
With explanations from his past
Long thinking thoughts that never last

The words he'd use when he addressed
those judgments, as a youth assessed
by village eldars now long dead
Who blamed a boy for fires spread

When all along the eldars knew
When Summer winds were passing through
Each year they came about the same
A simple fire could turn to flames

As he recalled what he once did
Into old memories he slid
A fire burned near where he slept
Close by his widowed mother wept
I prefer to keep an open mind,....but not so much that my brains fall out.- Carl Sagan
Your brain is like an umbrella. It only works when it's open- Someone Smart
