The Return (part 2)

Once on the road he planned his stays
in lush green fields along the way
Until he reached the village where
he once had lived, but now prepared

An explanation from his past
For years he'd thought,...but thoughts fade fast,
and soon he'd stand on native land
Where years ago he once was banned

By now, he thought they'd understand
Life often doesn't go as planned
He walked alone, his senses sharpened,
and hoped by now they'd all forgotten
