tell me
of the dark night
the bright stars
and the dimly throbbing moon
could you breathe?
you were turning around
gently spinning
through airless space
as soft as silk
and the blackest of black
could you breathe?
the planets spread out for you
a lovely picnic
for your eyes to dine on
did your heart beat?
nothing is felt in such spaceless space
the softest blanket of black
surrounding you
did your heart beat?
up there
above the highest expectations of earth
you are beyond feeling
beyond all things human
the dark night

Re: the dark night
I'm surprised this hasn't gotten at least one reply before this. I think this works very well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your poem.
An' it harm none, do what ye will. Blessed Be.
