That Promise Died

Post by hockeychickkayla » Sat Sep 18, 2010 11:17 am

You told me long ago that we will always be together
Cause you and me are family
And thats why its forever
I should have known then what I know now
Blood means nothing cause family comes and goes
Another fight another day
Another goodbye I'm sure I'll have to say
Cause you know nothing of what it means
To be called sompething so special
And I know some say that you don't have to be blood
But that I don't have either
Cause I've grown to know
That being alone is what is better
Cause then no one will know how to kill me
With a knife you carve my soul dear brother of mine
With a knife in hand I know you have lied
My soul is dead and my heart is black
It only symbolizes the lack of life I have
Strong words you have said
You finally told me why you wish I was dead
I know you threw the words out as soon as you thought
The ones you came up with on the spot
Yeah you want to go
Then why don't you leave
Cause when you do
I'll know its true
Don't come back again we're through
I'll never speak nor ever talk to you
I guess thats why you've always hurt me
I'm easy prey and sad to say you are my brother
And to this day I know
That You and me are family
But we won't always be together
That promise died when you lied and put my heart on a teather

Seriously, I just want to come give you a hug. I read these pieces and can't seem to do anything but sit here in shock shaking my head in dissapointment and disgust. As a mom I just can't fathom how anyone would allow one of their children to be treated this way, especially by another one of their children. Then again, your mom isn't exactly on your side, but still, this is just.... wrong. I'm sorry.
So we're lost, at least we've found each other. Take my hand, if we can't find our way out of the dark, we can make our own light. - Nicole M. Goretzke 2011
