Wishing a dead father a birthday of happiness

Post by Silence Nightingale » Sun Mar 29, 2009 1:44 pm

Happy birthday daddy,
I’m taking your birthday wish for you.
And wishing you were here.
It’s been so very long and hard
to grow up without you…
And every March and June
My heart breaks a little more…
March, your birthday…
Lost to the sands of time
And June…
I hate the month…
I despise the month and the feelings it brings.
I hate missing you daddy…
I wonder why you had to go.
I love you though.
Even though my mind
remembers hardly anything of you
I was so young daddy.
Barely a year old...
So I wonder why it hurts so badly
To write you a letter, wishing you happy birthday!
Seal it in a balloon
Let it go and watch if fly
high
Higher and Higher
to “heaven” Where you are.
Maybe I will never know
Why it hurts so bad
so I’ll dry my tears
Put a band-aid on my heart
and wish you a
Happy Birthday Daddy
I wanna just run away
I just wanna hide
I just wanna erase the past
And just curl up inside
I don't wanna see the world go round
I wanna go back to bed
Sleep till the pain dissappears
I wanna be with you again
