Benjamin 2008

Post by heinzs » Tue Jan 01, 2008 10:31 pm

Benjamin 2008

Time eats stone and flesh
and all becomes dust
spreading on the wind
until it covers the entire planet
with a single thin layer
everywhere.

That is where you reside
as I carry a mote of your spirit
deep within myself
in constant contact
with your liberated atoms
and I yearn
to reconstitute you.

My heart wishes
and my thoughts tell me
we are never apart
and will rejoin our lives
someday
sooner or later
when Time eats my flesh
and I become part of the dust
to which I have always
belonged.

It has become more than a "hope" for me... more of a "knowledge" of what will be.

Cheers Carol. No tears needed... it's been many years.

Dauntless the slug-horn to my lips I set,
And blew. ``Childe Roland to the Dark Tower came.''

I hope my "hope" becomes a "knowledge" some day.

Oh well...me and my tears.

I've cried again reading it. :crying: I really should own stock in Kleenex.

:crying: such a poem can only be written by a soul truly dented, bent, but not broken.
