Mom

Post by laura ann » Tue Oct 05, 2004 8:53 am

Mom, i'm trying to write you a letter to tell you how
much I love you, and i just want to say; that what I
have to tell you, will change our lives today.

I really am sorry for all the hurt that i've caused you
in the past. But I really need you Mom. I need your
friendship to last.

I remember the talk you gave me about sex and what
you said it could do. But Mom i never understood and
now I really wish I would've listened to you.

I know you don't understand yet, but I promise that
soon you will know, i'm going to be a mom, Mom. My
tears are about to over flow.

Mom i'm really scared and i don't know what to do.
But Mom right now I know I really need you.

Hmmm..............this is one of those rare spoken word poems that has you speaking in regular tempo, but it actually rhymes. You blended it well. An excellent blend of speaking your heart, mixed with creativity...all the while getting the true message across. Best of luck to you in your unknown future.

this is so riveting! it moves me to tears! my heart goes out to you Laura..being a mom whos 'been there done that'..i cant help but feel that your mom will be there for you..if she reads these words you wrote, i know she will be touched..you are still her 'baby' and your little baby is a part of you.. and a part of her too....after the dust settles i bet she'll be right there, right by your side!..best of luck to you Laura..please remember that babies are gifts from God..no matter how they're concieved, they are precious living gifts..helplessly innocent and deserving of love and protection..and you can give your baby those things.. more than anyone else in the whole world....i bet that your Mom will know how much you need her now and that she'll be there for you!..and for your baby!..i pray its so!..and hey if you want to talk, all of us here at the pages are your friends and we're here for you if you need a 'listening ear' .. *many hugs*.. my thoughts will be with you Laura..

this is a beautifully written, heartfelt poem!!

i can only hope that she hears you and nestles you close and doesnt push you away... this is a damn hard poem to read and even harder to wait to know how it goes.. my heart goes out to you... and you re part of this family now, so you beter know that if you need to talk to someone, many strangers ears are waiting to help if they can... our shoulders were built for moments like these...

me and my mom are doing okay. she's not mad at me anymore and we went to the doctor. i am 3 months pregnant. i have another doctor's appointment on friday the 15th of october. my boyfriend is okay with all of this too. my entire family knows now that i am pregnant and so does my entire school. all my friends look at me differently now because i am growing up in a way that they aren't. but other than that i am okay.
