Thief? This one's for you...

A thief
stole into my night,
added to my dreams
and left in gay silence,
I was amused,
and honored by sight
of a ghost who loves the night...

Ghost kept directing me
to artifices that were not he,
I proclaimed my uninnocence,
still, his quick voice rent
the open pages of poetry....

I met a Thief in abandoning streets,
scars he showed me
and told stories of cold survival.
Hopes had he, fiercely clutched
to his wounded soul, wishes
he threw to the dark.
Then he met a Ravyn. Black Bird
of his heart, she flew with pain,
Thief reached his mind,
she swept him up,
he professed his fears...
and dreamed again.

Now, Thief flies, with Ravyn's soul
tucked under his actions of hope,
this hero of toasted poetic pages.
Thief honors all who compose,
no longer alone, his family knows
dreams of a Black Bird repose

in a heart of a gallant Thief.

aww.. your gonna make me all misty eyed and serious... thank you Erin, for not only your poetic words but for giving those with little hope a huge kick in the ass when it comes to trust and having someone to trust in... your the cloud that lifts the heads of those who walk, staring at cement, never wanting to meet the eyes of strangers.. you are compassion Erin, and the world would be seventeen times darker if it were not for your smile and open eyes, your willingness to accept all... i would hug you till people started screaming i was going to pop you like a balloon, then id set you down and apologize.. hehe

And, I'd do the same thing to you, Terry. One day, I hope some of us can get together, to hug, and talk, to remember early days, and to laugh, and then, to hug, again.
