Christmas for Benjamin

Post by heinzs » Mon Jan 06, 2003 12:18 am

This makes the 21st Christmas since my son, Benjamin, passed on. I like to commemorate him each year.

Twenty one empty stockings
unneeded reminders
vacant arms groping for a touch
your heartbeat next to mine
brown eyes sparkling
ageless, timeless
I have missed you, and will
to the end of my days.

Merry Christmas, son,
wherever you are.

Christmas for Benjamin

Post by bags123 » Mon Jan 06, 2003 8:02 am

Hi Heinz,
I feel this so deeply. The Holidays were tough for me too this year after the loss of my son this past March. My son's name was Nicolaus. May Nick and Benjamin always be remembered. Perhaps they've met in the great beyond, and are watching over their crochety fathers.
