What?

The hot dry wind winds down the canyon,
As we tarried on the tarry warm road.
Minute gnats found us there in a minute
Wounding us as we wound down that vale.

Elaine had lied when she had sung that lied,
For sunburned skin did not slough in that slough.
In that sewer of a place it was lucky we had a sewer,
For a tear on my pants, caused a tear from Elaine.

The entrance to the pension (funded by my pension) entranced me.
They were planting peas , and a sow ate while they sowed.
A gallant was gallant, and, at last let us inside.
Now then, reproof this or earn my reproof!
