The evening is easing
into chill black night
through stained glass mirrors
gilded wings take flight
a trusting gust
forcing me to choose
lying with you
impossible to lose
leaves rustle and turn
money to burn
in our quantum spending spree
a chorus of cheers
resounds in our ears
all of this was meant to be.

Re: Mirrors
I'm having difficulty with "stained glass mirrors"... I always associate stained glass with windows instead. Hmm... something to wrap my mind around.
Re: Mirrors
Thanks, Gizmo.
Re: "stained glass mirrors", I think I'm trying to express the way we see things - others, ourselves - optimistically, often unrealistically, when we put on those romantic spectacles. "We don't see things as they are, we see thing as we are." -Anais Nin
