Storm Inside

Post by audiofool » Fri Mar 15, 2013 2:26 am

you know it breaks my heart to tell you
that's why I'm clamming up
got no bill of goods to sell you
and the door's slamming shut

I've got no sense of belonging
what am I doing here?
always grasping for the wrong end
as my dreams all disappear

hey, clouds
get out of my sky
I can see right through you
can you look me in the eye?

you're taking the news quite well
much to my chagrin
I recall the day I fell
thought you was my wicked twin

you put me through my paces
how we set the world to right
now you're back at the races
I'm just dreading the night

hey, clouds
stop spoiling my view
you're not fooling anyone
I keep a cautious eye on you

you know it breaks my heart to hear
this goodbye will be the last
far away and yet so near
now you belong to the past

if you ever get to thinking
and the notion comes to you
can we just stop pretending?
take a simple point of view

honesty and forgiveness
and a kind word or two
it's none of my business
I am lost in love with you.

Yeah,...it's like that sometimes, but you've gotta experience the bad in order to appreciate the good. Someone famous once said; " The palace of eternal wisdom lies on the road of excess" was it Milton? Not quite sure on that one,...but he had a point.

Right, bags. That's a William Blake quote (I checked) - and I like it. To get to the mean, one has to experience the highs and lows, I suppose.

Mos t of us have been here at least once. Stay strong and look to the sky. Nice poem, I especially love the last line "I am lost in love with you". It gives the feeling of hopelessness you feel when going through something like that.
