There'll Always Be We Two

Post by bags123 » Thu Jan 13, 2011 9:54 am

There'll Always Be We Two

It's been my pleasure many times
to talk about what's new
To measure through
important things
affecting just we two
We grew together,
intertwined,
with intersecting views
Six children raised.
Payments paid.
Even some long overdue
Although the years
may pass us by,
they've given us a few
It's been my pleasure all the time
I've lived my life with you

This is such a charming poem!! And I hope marriage may be as lovely to me as it seems to have been for you! :) I particularly loved the idea of "intertwining with intersecting views"... Even if those views are opposing, they DO intersect... a really lovely poem, Bags.

Thanks Juniper. I've been very fortunate to find my wife is also my best friend. She compliments me like a clean white shirt,....and I try my best to do the same for her.

Thanks Val,....I've kind of lost track of you. How's life in Longview. Did I tell you that I was married to my first wife in Longview way back in 1973. Birdsong County,..at her Aunt Bea's believe it or not. Her Aunt Bea worked in a Jewelery shop in Longview for about 40 years before retireing. Nice woman,...shame my first wife wasn't. :hello:
