Morning Whispers

It was a stretch to believe in the unthinkable.
When we started, we never expected,
Something so soft, so green, could catch fire,
And encircle us in some eternal flame.
Uncomprehendable,
And so fragile,
That at our beginning,
We both feared to whisper its name.
Love,
Because in a thousand pieces it would break,
Against our tide,
Against our bodies,
Against us.
We were so naive,
So young,
He, my beautiful love,
I, his unrelenting mistress,
Caught in wanton imagination,
A riptide of emotion.
But under adversity,
Cracking from our difference,
We blossomed out from our case,
And grew together,
Intertwined, interwoven,
Our bodies, our destinies.
And we cling to those last kisses,
The early morning whispers,
Of two young lovers,
Knowing nothing more than the now,
But accepting so much more to come.
And they say we don't know what love is,
Say we won't know until we are older,
So with our lips, we vow,
And with our hands, we promise,
Some eternal love,
A rememberance in forever,
He and I,
And a single moment caught in our eyes.
