"You-know-who is sitting less than 2 inches away from me. Need I say more? ..... I am going to melt." -- excerpt from my journal.

I've trapped you in the corner of my eye
and I am melting like chocolate
within your warmth

You are close enough to taste
I can almost breathe you in
and I long to swallow every inch of your soul
and quench my thirst
with the sweat that glistens like
diamonds
off the mahogany of your skin

I've trapped you like a rat
in the corner of my eye
and I am moaning like a slain eagle
you are to lick my wounds
you are to deliver me my rapture

Do you feel the tremors in my heart?
the muscle that throbs like a pulse

Lord, deliver me from temptation

I enjoyed this read for its sensual feel, you write this style very well, and I am impressed with you poem. The last line is grabbing, but you know its funny because I have thought that before in a situation like that, which to me makes this realistic. Very nice job, thanks for sharing!

excepting the image of the "rat," i really enjoyed this write, floet... i just have a serious aversion to anything rodent-ish...

.... but well done with the poem. you brought the emotions into a very palpable state; one i can relate to so well...

I agree with buttterflies, rats and I don't get alone to well. This was a sensual write, and I really did love reading it.

But if he made me feel that way I think I would have to set a trap and catch him. I think I would keep him all to myself!!!!
