Two years now;
700 days and change.
I blink, tears in my eyes,
and 700 more are gone.

In an instant
time escapes me,
but you,
you are always here.

You are my green-eyed shadow,
and God, how I love you.
Words fail me;
love knows no language.

If love is art,
you are an Escher:
Gorgeous, yet bizarre.

My words flounder.
They are insufficient.
A kiss will have to do.

Simply lovely. You've been missed.

I mean no offence, but I think the last line could use a little more oomph - sorry if that's the wrong word. The rest of this piece is so eloquent, it's just that last line that seems to let me down. If you'll allow, I'll give it some thought and come back to it.
