My God, My Friend

Post by DarleneG » Wed Mar 19, 2014 7:05 pm

There is a quiet place I go,
where love, like rivers, freely flows.
The peace I feel when I am there,
fills my soul like silent prayer.

Sometimes standing in a line,
or, wherever I happen to be.
I close my eyes and see my God,
My Friend, always there for me!

My Friend is my companion,
and my guiding light.
and what a privilege it is,
to meet Him in the night.

This quiet place where I go,
Is always there inside my soul.
You, too, can find God waiting there,
and talk to Him in silent prayer.

My relationship to God is very personal and private... your little poem speaks to that.

Thank you for sharing that with me, Heinz. And I appreciate your advice to me on "Keep writing." I am trying to do just that. And it is amazing that the more I concentrate on my writing, The more inspiration and thoughts I get from God. I hope you don't think I am too vocal on that subject. But I am only lead by what He gives me to share with others. When He gives me an idea for a poem through what I hear, Bible reading or some other source, I feel such peace in my soul. I don't know how else to describe it! But it's a feeling of joy. :book:

Priceless poem making me speechless
A holy hymn written with carefulness
A poem highlighting God's coolness
This noble song is finely marvelous.
