Thanks for your reply. No, we can't. Anyway, I am not a native English speaker
and did not know the word "impinge", so I looked it up in an English-Japanese
dictionary that says the word means negative influence. So I thought that you
meant we only react to bad stuff. Excuse me in advance if I'm wrong and if the

Impinge is not neccessarily negative although it often appears to be used this way
Encroach upon either your territory or in the sense I used it yourconsciousness or perception It can be neutral or even positive ivor

Thanks much, poeticpiers. I still remember a very kind taxi driver in Durham
and also remember the longest coach trip from Bristol where I was at the time.
I thought it was about 12 years ago but actually 18 years ago when I first visited
UK and stayed for a year. 12 years' ago was 2nd visit.
