Leaving the Ninety Nine
Lord, you left the ninety nine
to look for one so lost
you searched until you found her
and you didn't count the costs
She's lost again Sweet Lord
and she cannot find her way
Will you leave the ninety nine
come looking for this stray
You know she should know better
then to have ventured out alone
Will you leave the ninety nine
And bring this lost sheep home
How many times will it take Sweet Lord
Seventy times seven
Will you leave the ninety nine
To bring me back to Heaven
This lamb is lost and broken
there are wounds that cut so deep
Will you leave the ninety nine
Come searching for your sheep
She's tango'd with the devil
been stuck in the mire of this world
Will you leave the ninety nine Sweet Lord
Come and claim your little girl

In The Garden
On that night, it was very clear
as the water poured upon
the dusty feet of your followers,
you viewed the grime collect
and muddy the basin.
It was then you knew
what had to be done,
for more than a towel
could wipe our humanity clean.
It all had to begin in the garden.
Someone had to reenact
that delusion and want to
play God's hand in the game.
It was your place to be there.

This Path We Walk
Although this slow and lonely road may seem to lead to naught,
There is a prize that can be won. A prize that all have sought.
This trying path that all must walk will surely weigh us down.
Aches and pains for us to bear that seem to keep us bound.
At times it seems we may not have a companion by our side.
No one to share in this suffering, no one in whom to confide.
A lonely road we all must roam to find our way in life,
Lies before each of our eyes filled with sin and strife.
There may be times that we will wish to abandon this weary route.
To follow a less complex path, to find an easier way out.
But know this path though hardship filled will take you to new heights,
And shine bright upon places that you thought could hold no light.
Complete this task that He has set for each person surpass,
And one day receive the rest you deserve for following Him to the last.
Those times you felt that you were alone know that He was there
To guide you on that rocky path that alone no one should bear.
And though this slow and lonely road my seem to lead to naught,
Remember you can win the prize, the prize that you had sought.
