This is the first time I have heard something more of Barabbas, he just appeared and disappeared at the crucifiction. Glad that I didn't miss this one. Maggie

Gordy, blessings to you for this revival...I had missed it before, and now I find it most timely in the way if fills in the blank spaces....

Terrific, inspired writing.

Gordy I liked the perspective. Barabbas was just a figure in the Passion. You gave him flesh, fear, relief, and possibly redemption.

I liked this tale of Barabbas, Gordy; it struck all the right notes, I was disappointed in Tony Quinns movie 'Barabbas' a long time ago and I appreciate the topic getting a fresh look.

I hope one day a director will tackle the story of Judas in a more human light as well.

Back when VCR's were not readily available, there were two movies that my mom would let us miss school the next day for. They were "The Music Man" and "Jesus Christ Superstar". I really enjoyed your poem it feels right.

Wow! I love the last part of this especially. To think that maybe he was literally thinking about his past behavior being finished because of Christ's love is amazing.

I wonder if Barrabas changed his life that day like Mary Magdalene or Paul did.....I could be a little slow here that might be what you were trying to express....that alone would dry some of my tears for Jesus because that would make Jesus happy for one soul to be saved....if he had spoken to Barrabas while hanging on the cross he might not have said "My God why have you forsaken me"...of course that's assuming that he really was a changed man
