<center>Doing The Best I Can

With folded hands
and on bended knees I pray,
For you to sustain me Lord
and direct my path each day.

Guide my every foot step
in my daily walk,
Allow my lips to speak
a holy and righteous talk.

Take my hands in yours
to construct a better way,
That I may reach out to others Lord
as I go about my day.

Permit my eyes to see
good in my fellow man,
Instruct me in proper behavior
to do the best I can.

Only you and you alone
know me through and through,
You’re the one who knows whats best for me,
and all I'm able to do.

Anoint my ears to hear
that I may recognize your voice,
Keep me on the narrow path
so not to make the wrong choice.

If you see me slipping
pick me up before I fall,
Hear me precious Jesus
when your name I call.

I know disaster awaits me
should I fall back in sin,
And I couldn’t bare the thought of
losing your peace within.

There is nothing in this world,
I want enticing me,
To cause me to turn from you dear Lord,
or lose your company.

In heaven I know
you've prepared for me a place,
And I look forward to the day,
of meeting you face to face.

Until then dear Lord
please take me as I am,
Your faithful humble servant
doing the best I can.

with open heart to
welcome with love
those hurting torn

She dared to care
without borders or
crossings giving us
all of her measure

unlimited

for those hurting
scared

She dared to care
against the tide of
inhumanity

and gave love's
light another day
to glow inside the
hearts of those
who are so
